All in-person worship, events, and gatherings have been suspended until further notice. Please join us remotely for live worship Sundays at 10 AM. There will no bulletins available for these live worship services. Take this time to put down the devices and be present for a moment of prayer, song, and connection. The Worship Schedule can be found here. The church depends on your ongoing financial support so that we can be there in ministry for others. You can mail in your pledge and/or weekly offering, or DONATE ONLINE HERE.
OPEN & AFFIRMING
JOIN US FOR SUNDAY WORSHIP AT 10:00 AM
The Congregational Church of Boothbay Harbor, United Church of Christ, is an open and affirming community of faith, hope, and love. We seek to embody a faith that transcends all differences, and we are committed to affirming every person as a unique and precious creation of God. With sadness, we acknowledge that the Christian Church has, throughout history, condemned and mistreated persons based on distinctions such as gender and race. We believe such actions are inconsistent with Jesus' call to "love one another" and his prayer that "they may all be one." By the grace of God, we joyfully and gratefully welcome all persons who wish to be a part of our community into the full life, leadership, and ministry of the church.
We celebrate World Communion Sunday Today and our Neighbors in Need Offering. Neighbors in Need (NIN) is a special mission offering of the United Church of Christ that supports ministries of justice and compassion throughout the United States. One-third of NIN funds support the Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM). Two-thirds of this offering is used by the UCC's Justice and Witness Ministries (JWM) to support a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects through grants. Neighbors in Need grants are awarded to UCC churches and organizations doing justice work in their communities. These grants fund projects whose work ranges from direct service to community organizing and advocacy to address systemic injustice. This year, special consideration will be given to projects focusing on serving our immigrant neighbors and communities. NIN contributions can be made online at any time here or you may send a check to Congo Church BBH, P.O. Box 468, Boothbay Harbor ME 04538 with Neighbors in Need in the memo line.
