Prayer, Connection, Caring

Eula Ossofsky’s prayer while washing her hands: May we feel healthy May we feel happy May we feel safe May we feel sane May we live at ease It calms me when I do this! I need calming!  From long time member, Eula Ossofsky. Dear Members and Friends, We wanted you to know about some new ways to connect and care for and pray for each other in this stormy, challenging time that we are navigating together. Barbara Fritz is coordinating a Prayer Chain that will receive prayers each week. She is looking for a team of people who want to hold up prayer concerns in the church and the community. The only requirement is a willing heart and a pledge of confidentiality. Do you feel called to join this ministry of prayer? It will start with an orientation to being part of the prayer chain through a conference call and zoom call. To let Barbara know if you are interested you may email her at If you have prayer concerns, please send to Peter,, and he will share them on Sunday and/or pass them on to the prayer chain as you choose. Our Prayer Shawl Ministry is actively making shawls. If you have a prayer shawl Carol Cragin has offered to collect them - you can drop them off on the bin on her porch - include contact information. Do you know people who could use a prayer shawl? Let Carol know and we’ll be sure to do a porch drop-off and get them out. It is such an important time to receive the “hug” and prayer that I prayer shawl provides! You can email Carol for more information at This week in worship we talked about how the stories of the Resurrection appearances take place in places of social isolation - a locked room, a little boat on the Sea. Send in a picture of you and perhaps your family that are in your “room” at home and we’ll share them at the end of the worship service on Sunday. Send them in by Friday, April 24 to Tom Dewey, We’ll have a Virtual ZOOM Coffee Hour on Sunday, April 26 at 11 AM. You can connect with a device or call in on your land line. Church Cancellation Policy

It is rare that worship is cancelled due to inclement weather. If you are nervous about driving on snowy or icy roads, it is probably best to stay home and stream the service. If worship is cancelled or postponed, a message will be placed on the church answering machine (207-633-4757) and we will attempt to post cancellations on Channel 6 (WCSH)
