O God, Creator of Light:
At the rising of your sun this morning,
Let the greatest of all light, your love,
Rise like the sun within our hearts.
(Armenian Apostolic Church)
Dear Members and Friends,
Judy and Bob Dent shared with me this blessing from An Iona Prayer Bookby Peter Millar that they use to start each day. And what a beautiful day it is here in Boothbay Harbor. Did you take the time to look out the window or step outside into the sun and snow?
I walked into church today through the morning slush and was surprised to be greeted by three snowmen waiting by the front door!
Church Cluster Ministry
This week the Captains of our church cluster ministry will be reaching out to you to check in on how you are doing and to see if you would like to join the “crew” of one of our small groups so that together we can be the church and care for and pray for each other in these challenging times. I hope you might consider saying yes to joining one of these clusters as we need each other as church and our wider world needs us.
Palm Sunday Pictures
Years ago, I was in St. Petersburg, Russia during Holy Week and on Palm Sunday the members of the Russian Orthodox Churches use pussy willows as “palms.” On April 5 we will be celebrating Palm Sunday here and we’d like to invite you to take a picture of yourself individually and/or with your other family members with a natural “green” or pussy willow raised at your side. We’ll use the pictures in our Sunday morning broadcast and post them on the church website and Facebook page. It will be so good to see pictures of us all! Send your picture by text or email to Tom Dewey by April 2 (firstname.lastname@example.org).
You are in my heart and prayers,
Peace and Blessings this day!
