The Mission of the Church shall be to teach and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, to establish a fellowship based on the love of God and humanity, and to further the Realm of God.

YOUTH MINISTRIES
Sunday School

Sunday School is held all year long, every Sunday at 10 AM. September - June children follow the Spark Curriculum, a Bible-based curriculum for age 2 to grade 6. Families may access the curriculum from home. Each summer there is a week-long Vacation Bible School. Childcare is also available in the nursery.

Junior & Senior Youth Ministries

Junior Youth Group is for grades 6-8 and Senior Youth Group is for grades 9-12. Groups meet twice a month. Everyone is welcome to join, you do not have to be a member of the church. Meetings will be announced.

ADULT EDUCATION

Our Adult Ed is meeting via Zoom Sunday mornings at 8:30. We will explore a new Great Courses study titled, "America's Great Struggle Against Slavery" taught by Dr. Richard Bell from the University of Maryland. We chose this course as a way to try to better understand the racial divisions in our country today. Below is a sampling of the course description.

The course itself includes 30 lessons and we will follow the same class format as before. Zoom sessions will open at 8:30, with the video beginning at 8:45 followed by discussion until 9:30. All are welcome and each class is self-contained, so you can attend individual sessions as you are able. Please register for the classes by contacting Heather at the church office or Barbara Fritz at bfritz105@gmail.com to get the zoom invitations.  Course transcript books with all the lectures are available for $25.00 each. If you would like to purchase one, please let Barbara know.

Church Cancellation Policy

It is rare that worship is cancelled due to inclement weather. If you are nervous about driving on snowy or icy roads, it is probably best to stay home and stream the service. If worship is cancelled or postponed, a message will be placed on the church answering machine (207-633-4757) and we will attempt to post cancellations on Channel 6 (WCSH)
